Prerequisite: Spanish 11
Course Content: This course offers students meaningful second language learning on a higher level and is largely geared towards conversation and interaction in a multimedia context. Against the backdrop of Spanish culture and current affairs, students will develop Spanish speaking abilities applicable to a variety of situations as they examine Spanish literature and printed media sources. The students will also develop advanced reading and writing skills. Whether pursuing a career where a second language is required, wishing to travel or just wanting to speak another language, taking this course is a great step toward your goals. This is not a provincial exam course.
Evaluation: Based on projects, presentations, individual and group work, written assignments and oral exams. The optional provincial exam has been discontinued by the B.C. Ministry of Education.
