ETEC101 is a voluntary course to prepare new MET learners for their online graduate study program. This course will introduce you to study skills and strategies to support your online course of study. You will develop skills for improved facility with computer and online learning tools, enhanced self-directed learning skills, and strategies to improve group work participation. You will be introduced to several social media platforms to connect with other MET learners beyond the LMS to support a connected professional learning community.
This course was created by a fellow MET learner and will pilot the use of volunteer ‘More Able Peers’ (MAPs) in forum discussions and activity feedback. MAPs are fellow MET learners who have completed 5 or more courses. This course is intended to be completed prior to course enrollment, however its self-directed modules allow you to complete learning units at your own pace and non-linearly.
